The Ourika Valley, waterfalls and Berber villages near Marrakech

The road follows the river past earthen villages, terraced gardens and small riverside restaurants. At the end of the valley, Setti Fatma is the starting point of a walk up to a series of waterfalls, with a little scrambling for the higher ones.

Along the way you can stop in a Berber house for mint tea, visit cooperatives of argan oil and local crafts, and have lunch with your feet almost in the river.
