Camel treks and nights in the desert

Close to Marrakech, the stony Agafay desert offers a camel ride and a dinner at sunset within an hour’s drive. For real Sahara dunes, plan two to four days to reach Zagora, Erg Chegaga or the golden dunes of Merzouga.

Camels are led by Berber cameleers at a gentle pace, so no experience is needed. In the camps you sleep in tents with beds, with dinner around the fire.
